It is by no means my area of specialty, but I have spent hours calling around and investigating title issues on behalf of a client.

In most cases the money is well spent contributing to the aesthetics and positive property values.

I have spent $35,000 in a  37 unit community in  the last 3 years replacing water lines, and I have another $40k to go to finish the water lines and replace the electric services.

You can go into list source and it will tell you how many buyers but not until you buy the data to see how much they spent.

Its for sale for someone like yourself who thinks outside the box.

My questions are:Can I write off the $20,200 i spent purchasing the land on this years taxes? 

They were happy to get the money since they had just spent all theirs on rent and deposit and I knew it would be cleaned to their satisfaction.  

However, I've actually spent time at the courthouse sitting in on eviction hearings to learn more about them and haven't found much to warrant the reputation of being overly tenant friendly. 

If you're sending them a few letters, combined with social media campaigns for a few weeks before you door knock, your time will be much better spent because you are seen as a consistent presence who is their to help and they have an idea of what your company does.
