@Chris Prefontaine Thank you for the informative reply.Yes I'm really interested in moving forward with the Rent To Own strategy where I do not stay in the deal, at least for now and maybe in the future I will stay in the deal.

I know I'm not responsible, but I want to handle in a way that it does not cause future stress with the tenants, if that is possible.Thanks in advance for the help.

The investors who built that complex did so because the data told them that's where to build...so try to see what they saw so you can position your future investments accordingly.

Many experts on this topic do not believe Prop 10 will actually pass this time around but will continue to be brought up in the future.

I too was initially thinking about just leaving it, but re-considered doing it upfront to bring up the rents and add equity for a refinance in the near future.  

I'm newer to the Houston area and plan on starting to invest again in the near future.
