Flooring for Live-in Flip
I'm in the process of wrapping up the purchase of a home. It has a 3 bd, 1 ba on the main floor and a 1bd, 1ba in-law suite up top that I plan on living in.
At the price point and what it brings in for rent, I think it may make more sense as a live-in flip than a rental, so want to leave my options open after the next two years to likely sell it.
The neighborhood its in is one of the more historic, high end in its market. With that said, thoughts on the type of flooring I should be using to replace the carpets? My initial thought is vinyl for a rental, but if I'm flipping it in a couple years, would it pay to go the hardwood route?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
