Correct, I have heard horror stories though where the tenant will report an "ignored issue"  to section 8 and they will withhold payment and when you inquire why that is when you find out "oh the sink is clogged and the tenant said you haven't fixed the problem" and it is honestly the first time you've heard of such an issue. 

We don't have a termination allowance in our lease, but I do have an Early Lease Termination Request document we can provide a tenant who inquires about this.

@Charlie Van Norman, funnily enough, after literally weeks away from this site and thoughts of investing, I was just looking at numbers for that property and coming back to the forum to inquire about people's experiences with CII, which holds the property.I am a prof at U of C and know the area and the student population pretty well.

I really wanted to write to inquire if they could offer instruction specifically on that one area.
