For ex: I have no idea how much it typicall costs for labor in my area for floor replacement, so I need to know if a total reflooring job is even within my finacial feasibility before asking for a walk through or requesting a quote.

We painted the property inside and outside, replaced all the carpets, added new countertops and replaced the faucets.

After $700, I would've just replaced the toilet rather than trying to fix it 3 times. 

If you have to replace a roof, that will take up a years worth of your free cashflow.  

You can easily replace single tiles and they are cheap.

A few month's ago the furnace had to be replaced, that would have brought my balance down lower than the mortgage amount (so I paid it on my personal card but kept receipt).

There is numerous houses in the neighborhood and near the neighborhood selling for over $500K including the one right next to it that sold for $850K due to smaller houses being replaced with big newer ones. 

If the contractor damaged the rug, then they should be responsible for replacing/paying for the item.

For example: That fence will cost $1,000 to replace, but in reality its only $600.  

This is assuming everything is new and the cost to replace upon end of useful life: i.e. roof $25/mo, HVAC $15/mo, New kitchen and baths every 15 yrs, decking, exterior repaint, etc.
