In Illinois, we get harsh and very cold winters (as well as many other states, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, etc, etc).

Also people always say go through local lender but local lenders are not in abundance in MI only localbroker so keep in mind they may use a lender in different time zone.
