I lease because trucks are stupid expensive, but when you lease them you can get a nice payment for a brand new rig that doesn't break down at all.

Its their labor,   truck costs,  disposal costs,   licences, certifications, and all the taxes and stuff they have to pay.Also be careful that the full wall demo (last picture,  with furnace in it)  isn't a load bearing wall.if you are inclined and able,  stripping a kitchen down to bare room  isn't that hard  (kinda fun too to smash cabinets with sledgehammer)  but make sure you are able to haul the materials to the dump,  which may mean renting/borrowing a trailer or pickup if you don't have such equipment.

I never looked to the Future for Retirement I was mostly concerned with just riding my motorcycles going to work to pay some bills and just ride like I have been doing for over 35yrs.Well that almost came to an end last year when someone decided to run a Red Light Late I T-Boned a Truck on my motorcycle on my way to work and am lucky to be alive to type today.To make a long story short I am getting a Settlement enough to buy a home cash if I want but looking to invest in Rental property to help supplement Retirement.

And then we didn't actually have the movers start loading the truck until the morning of closing, after we had seen the HUD and knew the buyer's purchase funds were in escrow.We actually tried to negotiate retaining the property until the day after closing so that we didn't start moving until after the closing, but the buyers wouldn't go for it (understandably).
