Hello everyone,

My name is Brett Bickett. I am a college freshman at the University of Tampa majoring in Entrepreneurship. I have lots of high ambition and would appreciate any type of experience or internship opportunities. I have read lots of Brandon turner's books on real estate investment. I am a hard worker and if I don't know how to solve a problem, I will do anything in my power to find a solution. If anyone is looking for young people that have lots of creativity and a good work ethic, feel free to contact me.

Hey @Brett Bickett - way to start thinking about this stuff early - Real Estate is all about consistant action and compounding interest, and the earlier you start the more time your investments have to compound.

Some good advice from @Michael Haynes above - a couple things worth calling out though:

- The idea that you can't have friends or significant others and be successful is totally false- run down a list of the wealthiest and most successful people in the world, and count how many of them are single. What you can't have are friends or significant others that pull you away from your dreams rather than pushing you towards them. If your buddies want to get hammered every Friday and Saturday night, and your significant other has completely different dreams than you then yes, they'll slow you down. If your friends are striving towards the same or similar goals, sharing inspiration, contacts, and tips, and your significant other is squarely in your corner asking you what they can do to help you achieve your goals and be your best self (and you're doing the same for them and their goals!) its like rocket fuel.

- Entrepreneurs don't get paid to learn, we get paid to produce. If you have a w-2 you have a unique opportunity to get paid to learn; don't waste it driving trucks for $80,000 a year. Find a job in sales, marketing, client services, operations, etc with a growing company and surround yourself with smart people. You'll get the same $80,000 starting salary you would as a truck driver, and when you quit you'll have the skills, discipline, and network to start your own thing and be successful.

Just my two cents, and what worked for me won't necessarily work for you. The trick is to get after it today, tomorrow, and the next day, and when you're tired and think you're going to fail get after it some more.
