STRs should cash flow but they are high effort and regulations could impact that cash flow significantly so there is a certain risk.  

The other 13.3K is only artificial cash flow that you have purchased at a very high price.Dead equity has a major negative impact on income investment properties.

They recently merged with Bar Harbor so I'm not sure of the impact.  

We found an agent and work out details, and we go to confirm the schedule for open houses (which we originally agreed would be the minimal impact to them) and the wife is NOT happy now.  

The camera also won't be able to get past a offset though either and that can also impact flow... but harder to see.

We own 3 of the 4 outright and one is leveraged with a VA loan - not sure if that impacts the recommendation

I realize selling a house near one might be an issue, but wondering if it'll have as much of an impact with prospective tenants. 

The only real impact on investment of tornadoes is one should be aware of insurance cost. 

I'm also biased as I buy multifamilies and skew commercial so my version of appreciation is through rents going up over time impacting the NOI.
