Contrary to others' experiences (I got lucky) they have been a dream. 

This is a longtime dream for both of us to finally get into and we're excited and want to get off on the right foot and really be successful.

I moved to Phoenix,AZ (Tempe actually) from California just over a year ago for the engineering job of my dreams, deciding to rent an apt until I get familiar enough with the market to consider buying.Since then I’ve been working on reading and learning as much as possible while building a healthy savings and found myself most interested in a Multifamily duplex where I can rent one unit and live in the other.

You’ll soon start to notice which are thorough and make sense and which are pipe dreams or simply not based in reality.An important point is that the best deals aren’t the ones forecasting the highest returns.  

I like the foreclosures and feel good about making a neglected property liveable again and allow it to be someones dream home again.

It's been her dream.

I decided to go out on my own and use custom home building to fund my dream of large scale multi family.  

Thus my equity in my home I fought so hard to keep is gone and my dreams of investing in rentals is dashed.  

When you've seen people lose everything based on a housing market, it becomes difficult to trust that American dream that was fed to everyone of buying a nice house.This actually transitions us to looking closer at Galveston.
