If you want to be a little further out, but in the city, consider along the river/Jefferson Ave, EEV, Rosedale, parts of Hamtramck or West Village.

some of the area websites mention need for permits at the village level, town level, city level, and possibly county level.obviously i plan to call and ask about my specific needs, however, have any of you had to pull permits from multiple jurisdictions for the same project?
