I'm in Stamford Connecticut and a transplant from southeastern panhandle of Alaska.

I am now out of investing after having 2 kids and taking care of my husband before his lung transplant.

Many of the new transplants are younger with lower wages.

Congrats @Joe Manfredi We get a lot of transplants from the east coast in Arizona, its great here in the winters and if you like the heat, well its fun here also in the summer.

I'm a McLean native, transplanted to Chicago 13 years ago.My first and most important criteria in investing is whether I'd spend the night in the neighborhood.

They might think the land is valuable to a rebuild investor, or hope that transplants from California will justify the price tag/repair value because it's cheaper than what they're used to seeing.
