Markets which do not lean a certain political direction are not signing on to sticking property owners with all of the bills for the rest of the year.Unfortunately, much of my generation believes the government and handouts are the solution to everything.

City permits, watershed permits, county permits, everyone has their hand out.

@Julie DeWolfe Arroyo - it's tough, on the one hand I understand there's always risk involved in property investing and I'm fully prepared for that, but on the other hand I worry that we're about to walk into a market that is actively against people owning anything.I'm all for helping those who genuinely need it, but I'm concerned it's just adding to the handout mentality

I am not asking for a handout of information I would just like to know of some very informational books or forms of media that will give me a better understanding of the real estate investing world and jargon so I can continue to learn and maybe read a forum or two without feeling like I have to use google translate the whole thing lol.

It has hurt my own investment properties even with the government handouts to me (less 10% of amount due, less the late fees). 

I do 15 minute block showings, and hand out a LENGTHY application to anyone interested.
