Lately one of my CC's has a 1% fee.I guess they're counting on the borrower not paying it back in the 1 year period, and getting bumped up to the usual 12,9%, but still, 1%... wow...

You can also try to gather the $25K (plus CC's) through a private lender (i.e. family or friend) and pay them an annual 12% return - assuming they could not lend you anymore for repairs...

The CC companies are very pro-buyer, and they should easily refund the payment and put the onus on the company to prove that they did what was promised.
