I have done some research and found several things (broker, flipping etc) that count towards Real Estate Professional (REP) tax status.

You can also check meetup.com or search facebook for real estate investment groups, clubs, or meetings in your area.

It's market-specific, depending on where you live and what it costs, but you'd be surprised at how many people still listen to radio all day and all of the calls coming in are hot leads instead of garbage from Facebook or PPC.

@Terry Lashley My secret tactic for finding contractors is to join all my local real estate investor Facebook groups.

Every once in a while I see some one posting on local Facebook groups looking for contractors and someone responds to put your project to bid to multiple contractors on Tulbelt.

Term is up in October, maybe best to continue with the status-quo until then?
