Water costs + $150/mo. home insurance + $33.33/mo. garbage rent and disposal + HOA fees/mo. + Misc.My holding costs usually seem to be $15-20K for the entire job.But, I have seen other investors holding costs at $1100 TOTAL over a year long project.

I called to ask how much the HOA was and how the utilities were factored in.

We are on the board for a 48 unit HOA townhouse and are trying to get an idea of the cost of 3rd party management and expectations for that cost.  

I am on HOA Board that has recently proposed to raise monthly HOA fee from $695 to $1411.

I found what was owed on the property, used a management company recommended by a realtor-friend, put up the cash to rehab and rent out, negotiated with the HOAs on paying back the delinquent fees through a payment program and hired an attorney to clean it's title.

I'm interested in getting a list of properties from the county for a myriad of properties, including tax delinquent, hoa liens, etc.  

If you are in a neighborhood that has a strict HOA or other regulation on Airbnb and vacation rentals but you choose to do it anyways then you may be breaking the law. 

I learned that HOAs are way too expensive in San Diego and they charge whatever they want.

We just got a letter from HOA going to our entire community posing a vote to restrict short term rentals - see photo of "important input from other communities " - the letter is totally biased.

Depends on city.Just go to the assessors office and see the rate and what the expected increase would be if you bought it.I was looking at a lot in Texas, higher taxes than CA and this lot had HOA's
