Downside, you realize it's not for you but you still have some/all of your housing expense being paid for you. 

However, what people fail to realize is that there is also a state income tax rate along with a potential second tax when there are dividends distributed to its shareholders/owners.

You are learning several skill sets to include parts of a renovation, maybe management of a renovation from a higher level, and you are meeting contractors and realizing time lines for renovations.

The main property is a 2 family that’s occupied and creates good cash flow, my only reason for selling is to realize the equity and use it for a renovation elsewhere.I look forward to hearing any comments or suggestions.

I’ve also had guests book under their parents accounts, which is a bummer when you realize it later after the place is trashed.
