My interest rate is at 4.5% and I still have that loan. 

My husband and I will be ready to buy a home in the next 6 months, but we decided that we want an investment property instead.

You could try talking to them and posting a notice to vacate as you now own the home, but I wouldn't go alone and I doubt they will leave.
