Shane Mcgill What precautions am I responsible for a pool in my STR
24 August 2020 | 2 replies
I've heard that I can't operate the pool, that I need a lifeguard, that I need a handicap access, and that it's completely exempt because it is in a residential property. In the end I chose to go with an attorney's advice, which was consistent with the manager who had managed it for the 40 years prior:  Post Notice on safe use and precautions, keep the area clean and conducive to safe usage as much as possible, and educate tenants on their responsibility to ensure their safety, as well as their guests.I'm not sure if this would change from state to state, or from LTR to STR, but I'm sure we'll experience a wide array of guidance on it :)
