I can also recommend a painter we just used on a flip that did a great job for us on interior and exterior paint and refinishing all the cabinets in the house.

I just don't think you are painting a clear picture regarding your father's financial situation.If your dad is not rich and that $100k is money he will need in retirement, I personally would not touch a dime of it.
