Hi @Will Antonio, Welcome to the forum fellow Calgarian,I had the exact same question when I started out and went to talk to my accountant.Although it will always depend on your situation and it is best that you speak with an accountant about your particular situation, I will tell you what mine told me at the time.He recommended to not bother with corporations when getting started especially if you are starting by buying 1 or 2 Houses as the cost of maintaining the corporation will outweigh a large portion of the profit you would make.In our case, I was making significantly more income than my wife.

Outside of cook county is wildy in-proportionate because there aren't any businesses/large commercial districts to help subsidize the property tax rates and so, all of the burden falls on people who live there.
