If you are replacing broken concrete it should be less noticeable then adding a concrete walkway that is not already there.

Just wanted to add to this that we rent single family detached, and we email tenants about cold weather requirements, how they should never turn the heat off in the winter, even during short vacations, remind them that our minimum heat setting in cold weather months is 59 degrees (in our lease), that they should leave cabinets and doors open to any pipes (laundry, sinks, etc.) that are near exterior walls to ensure heat reaches them if temps are going below freezing, and make sure they keep walkways clear and safe.

When I got the the bedroom I almost vomited from the smell.And the last one was an obvious drug dealer complete with the video surveillance system of people coming up the walkway and standing at his door.

When I stopped to drop off new shovels, I decided to widen the walkway to the front door ... guess what I found buried in the snow :-) We reaffirmed with the {student} tenants that snow shovels are best stored vertical if you ever plan to use them again.

I do have a clause that if the city fines me because they didn't do it, I can pass along the fine to them.I have one duplex that I have been paying someone to take care of the snow removal (driveway, walkway, and sidewalk + salting).
