Maybe figure out what you “need” to live on (I have a pretty liberal definition of need: loans/taxes/food/insurance/housing/internet/phones/etc. ) and how much of a safety margin you have on top of that.

I was not aware of that scoring, but obviously some are.Consider that new people come to BP and see someone with very high influence points in the forums, you have to assume at least initially, that they were earned in the forums, from giving solid advice (or popularity) but either way, it's a false indication of one's expertise.I'd bet that the forums are more popular than the bulletins and that by having such a liberal point system for posting and commenting in the bulletins is a great way to increase bulletin activity, but should the sky be the limit?

Sure, maybe I'm naive.The good thing is you can bet the press will be all over this situation and if it's true this lady will get the help she needs; of course, if it's not true then the press will out her for a fraud.Then again, the cynic in me says if she really is a fraud the liberal press will simply cover it up.
