Each time I encountered a problem I looked to improve the process that lead up to that problem, not just solve it.

While opening the wall and working of the leak, he encountered another pipe adjacent to it that he considered is not up to code..... when the help desk lady called me, she pretty much told me that you want us to fix it or you want to call someone else to fix it. 

So I drove past it the other day and sure enough it is vacant and has those big stickers plastered up on the front door and windows.

But was wondering if anyone has encountered this and what the next step would be?

SF and the Bay Area in general deter a lot of people because of the perceived sticker shock.
