Is this a terrible idea?

They are often the most affordable, but terrible for upkeep and maintenance.

I appreciate the advice, I want to find the simplest resolution without creating terrible tenants.

Now, another school of thought would be to deploy the 800k as is and then use some of the proceeds to pay off the debt, say in 5 years, which is not a terrible idea.

Too often I’ve seen realtors dabble in property management mainly because they want the commission on releasing your property but they provide terrible service to the tenant in terms of poor or no maintenance because that’s really not whet they do.
