There IS due process built into the law.....most states have strict, specific requirements where the sub must Notify the owner that they are working on their property, the process to verify they are being paid and warning that a lien may be filed if the owner fails to follow proper procedures.

I would combine this with a ''tenant manual'' so to say, which I know are out here on BP, which gives the tenant standard operating procedures should an issues like a clogged toilet arise.
