PRO tip: If you are considering a property in Texas and the Seller/other agent is unclear about what the UNEXEMPT taxes are:1) Google "Pay COUNTY NAME taxes online" 2) enter the property3) get the taxes paid and unexempt taxes from directly from the CADI personally like small multi-family with 2-4 units, purchase prices ranging from 100K - 300K, with value add opportunities.

from what I read, since the property is sold, it doesn't go on Form 8582 and we can realize all loss from 2018 and 2017, 2018 loss can go on Schedule E, but where do I enter the loss from 2017?

i just find it very discoraging that you guys have everything negative to say about wholesaling as a newbie i want to do wholesaling as a starting point to build capital..not to get rich quick..everyone is in a different position in life . im just learning about real estate and wholesaling seems to be the way to get in .i understand that many fail but why knock someone for wanting to enter into real state going the wholesale route

I landed a great job a couple of years ago that allows me to work remotely and make an excellent salary, also my wife will be re-entering the workforce after taking a few years off with our last child.We are now under contract on that first home and will be closing in 2-3 weeks.
