My recommendation is research them all, go to local meetups, and find what you're most passionate about and what you're best at.

The best strategy I've seen is some purchase a home for every duty station they are located at.

This works until you get to 5-10 locations. 

Most locations you have to pay to get online access to all of the property records or you can go to the court house to access them in person for free.
