I have drank the cool aid.

I have not included any aid from girlfriend and the salary she may be making or any extra money I could make if I were to pursue real estate sales on the side.

Sure, some may BS you to keep you out of there "cool-aid", but I think you will find most are overly friendly and helpful.

Presently, I am trying to get some traction in Boston and hopefully aid other rehab/ landlord type investors by tracking down properties for them or "wholesaling" while I am out here.

I'm a database engineer by profession working in a health care industry.

I recommend using a title company to help aid you in determining if the deceased had any real estate.

From my experience, there's more potential for confusion there than there is aid to closing the deal. 

. - I know the VA Loan does not allow aid in repairs but since the house is good "as-is" we could refinance 6-12 months down the road and use the equity in the home to pay for the upgrades?

In my opinion anyone who tells you different gas drank the kool aid and is just trying ti justify paying so much by saying the courses/seminars are a good thing.

I am fully prepared to leave healthcare and pursue a career in real estate full time.
