One popped up in my neighborhood and several people in the neighborhood informed code enforcement and they shut them down.If you and your wife are good with living in a smaller place to pay down your mortgage faster than that seems like a great idea to me.At some point in the future you could always move back into the main house and rent the smaller unit if you ever wanted to.

The banks just won't ever do it with something that size, unfortunately.Best of luck!

Have a bunch of questions ready - have they ever thought about selling, if they sold how would they do it, is evicting tenants and cleaning up the place keeping them from selling (for absentee owners), how many pieces of mail do they get offering to buy their house, how do those mailings make them feel, etc.

Never had a problem before until this tenant moved in and made it a problem that required to be written in the contract.Have you ever wondered why some common sense laws/ rules are even necessary?

Do investors ever hire/need assistants?
