I don't think you need to transition unless you are seeing greatly reduced occupancy year over year.I am sticking with STRs as we do well with them and love the interaction and are good with hospitality.

But there is more work with turns, maintenance, tenant service/interactions etc. 

So the way I understand it now in Illinois (my state of residence and investing) there is a 75 hour online course, 15 hours interactive portion.
