Rents here don't move as much as the housing market and it takes longer for the trends to show.But for comparison, the sales price for small residential properties is up around 9% over the last year.

I do feel like I have seen a trend that the mostly rented areas tend to have lower median home value - but I am curious if for renting purposes - though home values are less - it is better to choose such areas as it seems to attract more renters as opposed to the areas which are mainly homeowner occupied?

So you have this downward trend, except that maybe 1000 customers is your limit, and to serve 1001 customers you need a second filter system which costs another $500k/month to operate, so now your cost per month for 1001 customers is $.25/gallon - not as much as when you were serving one person, but more than serving 1000k people.
