I've done home renovations before, but i've never done anything where I've had to apply for a building permit.Does anyone have an easy way to estimate the below, including labour or can anyone share with me a detailed breakdown of their triplex conversion costs?

The poster was saying conversion rates are much lower, but much lower is still better than 0.

If I know I have a big increase, I will typically push that conversation to about 3 months ahead, simply to give tenants time to look for a new place.  

An email or phone conversation would be suitable.
