We send notices to our tenants every few months and we always mention things that we don't like i.e. putting the trash outside apartments, putting chewing gum on sidewalks and balconies, keeping the laundry room and here is the one that raises the hair on the back of my neck.

The last place we lived, the landlord lived right down the street so when the snow was heavy, he would drive his 4-wheeler plow to at least get the sidewalk (ultimately that liability is theirs if someone was to fall) but he would often help with the driveway and we REALLY appreciated it.

I learned a long time ago some stuff is just not going to get done unless you do it:Anything with a filter besides the HVAC system and even those are iffy;Anything attached to the house that does not directly damage their property if left undone (i.e. gutters)Any kind of landscaping beyond cutting the grass, including proper edgingAnything outside that needs periodic cleaning (house/deck/sidewalk/driveway)When it comes to any of that stuff, you're going to have to do it yourself, OR have it explicitly in your lease and be prepared to enforce the provision.
