Code laws for pathways ?

Hi bigger pockets!

I had a tenant email me that she fell on an uneven path we have leading up to the property. I don’t feel like we need this pathway, and I’m tempted to just take it out and have grass there. Thoughts on what we are required to have and what we should do? Thanks!

I believe code says you must have an "accessible route" connecting accessible entrances to public sidewalks, handicap parking spaces, bus stops, etc.  When you say uneven pathway, are we talking paver stones or a busted up concrete walkway?

Also, is it a single-family residence?  An apartment?
