I have a number of friends in the Meyerland area who woke up to 3-4 feet of water and have pretty much lost everything as their homes are completely submerged. 19 people from our church have evacuated and are in emergency accommodation with 2 families (one with a pregnant wife) are trapped in their homes and cannot get through to rescue services.I live in the medical centre district and the water was 2 inches up our front doors, but luckily only got a little wet, and quickly went back down to the road when we had a little respite. However, I know that Houstonians are resilient, and will rebuild quickly!
