Do you meetup with any local groups?

He hosts a number of great networking groups, all in MO now but as he said, they draw investors from IL too.  ...and he's my Cahokia expert / go-to guy!

But, they are very popular gurus and are making a lot of money teaching their "classes" and groups.

I have joined some local groups on Facebook, but was wondering...  

To me STR and hotel caters to different groups of travelers and so despite competition as long as the travel demand of Hawaii remains (as you pointed out is a robust assumption) I think both will continue to do well.  

Sounds like a good plan, should have plenty of options available.I would be cognizant of any group you talk with on two areas, the location of the property including any potential concerns of it being 'rural', as well as the minimum purchase price and/or minimum loan amounts.

I also am in the industry already so I have a few regular networking groups and events that I attend.
