@Stephen Howardwelcomeback in the early 60's I did a boarding stint @ Guildford Grammar as my father was with Shell Oil (Darwin) & was away a lot.Perth is a beautiful city & I bet RE prices are exponential.This is a great site to begin your quest !!

I've heard there are groups doing this now, but have no idea where.On the contrary, if you have one beautiful mansion among some burnt out and falling down houses with bullets flying, nobody will want to rent or buy.Detroit isn't good for absentee landlords, in my opinion.

The tenant's lease should point this out as well.For normal use, like hair clogs, toilets, gunked-up p-traps through no negligence, the landlord is responsible to maintain (at least in NYC).Also, when drains do clog, make sure the tenants do not attempt DIY solutions such as drain cleaners on their own.
