@Michelle Petropoulos, very late reply, but if I recall correctly, homeowners were allowed to redeem their houses and adjacent vacant lots up until the week preceding the auction in 2015.

And if you are in country with some visa after they nail you they may escort you to the airport!

What are reasonable costs for developing the subdivision assuming the following:  Gulf Coast suburb, flat land with minimal clearing needed, adjacent to subdivision with city water and electricity.
