As landlords, if we continually allow people to do stuff like this and don't do anything about it, the issue just gets passed to the next unsuspecting landlord and the dead beat tenant just keeps moving on.

@Kusum Chanrai - I have a colleague who purchased a condo in the low $1M range a year or so ago in the Mission Bay area, as the cost of housing in that location will likely continue to appreciate due to the new stadium being built there.

Listen politely, and continue with whatever you were going to do anyway. 75k wasn't an arbitrary number thrown out there for no apparent reason.

@Michael Gayer JrHe still should complete them, plus W-9 which is the most important one.State taxes have nothing to do with it, it is for Federal (IRS) taxes.If he continues to argue - then I would not hire him.
