My husband is currently a realtor part time and a full time furniture delivery man.

It was for "vacant property blight", and referenced furniture and other things in the yard.  

I would wait until they are out, (sometime furniture hide needed repairs) and inspect.

I'm facing the same problems with Boston and high priced entry but lucky that my father invested in a few buildings in leather district back in the late 80s/early 90s and a house in Quincy for a flip/buy and hold.

A mattress on the floor, boxes of clothes and personal belongings in the corner but no other furniture.

Furniture isn't my concern as I did a pretty great job (in my opinion) furnishing my new place with items from OfferUp / Facebook Marketplace for under 600 bucks. 

Also would it be better to include furniture or no?  

Our dogs are old, lazy, well-behaved, and not allowed on any furniture/beds, so I'm hoping they won't hinder our ability to find a place.
