I was also looking into getting a duplex and renting out both sides.

Hey @John Burtle I am living in one side and renting out the other.  

Hire a bookkeeper/property accountant and focus on what you do best.For flipping purposes, which deals more on the development/construction side, I strongly suggest something like Timberline which can definitely make life easier when processing that many invoices.

However, our side agreement says they would be out by this Wednesday.

Excited to be a part of the BP community! I've had my hand in Real Estate since 1999... although I'm just now actively starting to invest on my own. 

Would love to know what groups there are in the DFW area - especially on the east side of Dallas (Mesquite, Garland, Rowlett, Rockwall).
