You might want to try calling these local municipal offices beforehand And talk to a helpful civil servant by phone in advance to make the most of your visit and minimize the amount of time you spend in person during this pandemic bc govt offices are incredibly backed up and stretched super thin right now. 

Time will tell whether or not I'll kick myself for not fully tapping into the conventional refi boom amidst a historic pandemic/civil unrest but for now I'll say I'm happy never seeing a 1003 or pay stub again and focusing on alternatives (hard money, commercial, portfolio, etc) for investors.

The pandemic has stopped evictions and in a number of cases, tenants are no longer paying rent, but the owner still has to pay the mortgage, taxes, insurance, water, maintenance, etc.
