Another major change I would suggest to the mortgage contract would be to alter the insurance clause to reflect STR activity.

I would also prefer to buy in a town with good schools which I think will translate into good steady renters in the future.

I don't know if that translates to a drop in property values, a reduction in rent rates, or what.
