Currently reside in Zanesville Ohio for the last 3.7 years...yea I know...Zanesville- the place where 80 wild animals escaped and were killed...I get it...However, the cost of living is comparable to a third world country so not all is lost if you're a mustachian or were deployed twice and can be grateful for anything American..

If you keep your home to a good standard, price it right (remembering there will be maintenance issues that cannot be blamed on a guest), and set up a spreadsheet include noting how they left your home when they departed you will soon build up many repeat/returning guests that you actually want to stay in your home.Operating a vacation rental is just like any other business the more you are involved the smoother it will run.Good luck with your venture.
