USDA Rural Development programs?

Hello guys,

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the programs offered by the USDA rural development programs? My husband and I want to become homeowners/re investors, however both of our credit portfolios are in the dump it seems almost impossible so I'm searching all avenues. His credit is 529/516/529 and mine is equally but seriously more ridiculous than his. We cant get our hands on an substantial amount cash (6000 grand haha) until mid January. I'm tired of the rat race.

I'm just wondering if we can get into one of these homes as a starter and then rent/sale but who knows what kind of regulations are involved in these gov programs.

My target home price would be 49's-59's with comps valued in 90s-100s.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
