My goal is to acquire my first property ASAP (2-4 units) and acquire another 4-6 in 2022.I joined BiggerPockets because it offers a wealth of information and resources, and knowledge is the power to make a decision.I am open to connecting with anyone, especially other local or neighboring state-resident female investors.

I don't care if they are blue, purple, 21 years old, male , female, animal, tree, alien... and our lead gen systems don't discriminate based on those factors.

@Kevin Rea I’ll tell you one thing, recently my girlfriend moved from San Jose, CA, to Northern Kentucky (where I was born and raised) and she can NOT get mad at paying less than $780 a month for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with me as opposed to $1,000 a month sharing 1 bathroom with 3 other female roommates in a townhome. ($1,000 was for her room rent ALONE I couldn’t imagine how rich the home owner was) I’ll tell you one thing though, as great as basements are for storage they are a ticking time-bomb for foundation issues.

And, gun beats pepper spray or tazer.If you reply to prospective tenants only by e-mail and you're a female, try shortening your name to sound more gender neutral.

I don't often buy from owner occs, but recently I did buy a 7 year new townhouse from a sloppy young adult for $90K under market for the simple fact that she did not want to clean the place to show it.

Just wanted to also share the results of the folliowing studies to remind you that there is a psychological aspect to investing and as a female you are going against the grain but remember that women investors also outperform men so trust your gut and hang in there!!

We hope that we can inspire young BiggerPockets members to understand that renting has to be the norm as a young adult.

Millenials were listening to post-crash horror stories for their formative adult years and I'm sure it's helped shape their view of investing.

She says she's almost 50/50 now which is a long way from where we started.At first she was frightened by my interest in real estate investing, but she knows I have been carefully and patiently learning as much as possible from the good folks on Bigger Pockets, reading RE books, and going to REI meetups.We have also started playing the Rich Dad board game "Cash Flow" and now she is using terms like "getting out of the rat race" and "financial freedom" The game has helped us to spend more quality time with the family too (young adults) .
