Very good point regarding the letters vs postcards...I was really thinking the opposite...that the letter might be considered more personal...but I can definitely see how it might be perceived if one thought they were receiving a letter expressing condolences. 

I feel like the "entry point" (not sure that's an English expression) of investing in Belgium is higher (I'd say 100k) and with the high closing costs and low returns I'm not sure I will find opportunities within my budget.

I lean more to having a short description of your intentions such as a high level business plan versus getting down to how much you will pay or even expressing limits of how much you will "borrow".
