The locations I am looking into right now are Conway, SC and Titusville/Melbourne, FL.What drew me to these locations are the lower costs of condo's relative to the greater Akron area, as well as the properties are sitting on the market much longer than in my area, and overall higher monthly rents. 

The only issue we've had is with their team (communication wise), which is almost entirely located in Ukraine.

I recently had an estimate of $20,000 to create a basement egress window and I put my foot down and told my GC that I was going to rent the excavator, and we found much cheaper supplies, and were doing the project ourselves.

My goal is to move out after a year and be able to cash flow once both sides are rented. 

I was able to rent the property out at $1750 per month with my note being all-in at $924 per month.

If we plan to rent to a commercial tenant in the future then should we opt for commercial property insurance now, or just homeowner insurance and then change to commercial once that space is ready to be rented?
