Keep in mind that the main reason we're moderators here is because we're very active and involved on the site and we've built trust with the community.So, perhaps it's more accurate to say that by staying active here and building trust with the community, you're more likely to build your network of partners/lenders/mentors/colleagues/etc. :-)

Some of that is just thinking "would I want to live in this house at this price" or more accurately "would my wife want this house at this price"I like redfin because you can get $/sq ft in the zip code, a good indicator.

This is OK and acceptable, just know you and the Seller or Broker are not serious until you can see ALL the information to provide an accurate bid/offer.

Generally, your expectation that the insurance company would try to connect the claim to the illegal activity and use that as a reason to deny it is probably accurate.
